WE ARE IN XMAS AND WE ARE HAVING SOME XMAS CONDITIONS!
THE PAST DAYS I BEEN SAILING IN GALDAR(NORTH OF THE ISLAND) WITH SOUTHEAST WINDS AND YESTERDAY AND TODAY SOME SURFING AND SUPING TO COMPLETE THE DAY!

PWA SEASON OFF!!

Hi friends,

sorry for not update the blog for a long time but in cape verde the internet is not so good,so I could even upload any news.

Probably you already know that we didn,t have enough wind to finish the event and get another result.

finally Victor had the winnig of the tittle that he deserved for a long time,congrats Victor!!

As for me,I finish in 10th position this year without the possibilty of climb a bit to the top in cape verde as I plan but I guess 10th it,s still in the top 10 best guys in the world and 3 position in the national.

Hopefully next year we get better luck and better results,now it,s time to relax a bit and have a xmas holidays with family!

today we had an epic day in the north shore,the waves were good size and wind just enough to get in.
Today while I was sailing ,I was thinking and remembering good days in hookipa but just at home.
So much fun,hopefully tomorrow again,I leave some pics so you can judge by yourself.

sylt is over,we had no waves there,just ten days of waiting period.

NOw I,m back home to warm up my body from the cold weather!we have some good surf and some winds.

Looks like for the weekend is coming a monster swell.let,s hope so!!

SYLT DAY5-STILL NO WAVES

still no waves in sylt,forecast doesn,t look really promising but we have still have be here 4 days more.

Meanwhile we are having interviews at the beach and some signing sessions for the fanatics of windsurfing here in Sylt.

1ST DAY SYLT 2010

Hi friends,

today we had to be at the beach at 7 in the morning for the skippers meeting.it was a small chance of running some heat according to the forecast but wasnt like that when we arrived there.
dead on shore winds,maybe 10 knots maximun and flat.so stand by for the moment.
the forecast doesn,t look so good for the next for wave.Hopefully for the slalom and freestyle.

after a great week in cold hawaii we got today in sylt and I have all ready for 10 days in difficult conditions.

COLD HAWAII SINGLE ELIMINATION

Hi friends,

we started the single elimination with good sizes wave but with light winds where it was really tricky to do good heats.

I passed my first heat against Ben Proffit and then I had Kauli where I got a double and a backloop with one increadible wave ride with 2 takas in the critical part of the wave but kauli had good luck and pass the heat having the 9th position in the single.

congratulations to Kauli,Ricardo and Dany for the great result!!

I,m at cold hawaii klittmoller,the second event of the PWA tour.
the conditions lokks promising,we are expecting strong winds and good swell for the next days so stay around

TABOU DC 2011

Hi friends,

I just got my new boards,they are 2011 quad boards with the option of make them twin fins by removing the front fins.

I have to say that they first impression of the board is really good,fast planning,excellent speed,it really graps to the bottons and turns,I have to wait for a good day of wave to see what it,s capable to do!!

Pozo was really gusty yesterday afternoon,I was sailing with 4.2 but I was stock 50% of the times.

hope tomorrow will get better so I can have a bit more fun.

STILL BLOWING

HI my friends,

we are already in august and pozo still blowing.This summer has been really good,winds since beginning of june till now without stop.
People who has choose pozo this summer for sailing has choose well.

Looks like we going to have a great august with winds and waves,yesterday we sailed mosca point with nice size waves.

here is a secuence of a backloop from jose piña that has been living in pozo this summer and hasn,t stop shooting this summer.

JULY SUMMARY

hi friends,

after the pwa pozo 2010 I had to continuing compiting in the spanish cup in pozo and after in tenerife.

so this are the results from pozo spanish cup:
1-victor fernandez
2-jonas ceballos
3-dario ojeda

then was tenerife where I got a bad result but I still in 3 position in the overall ranking.

there will be one more contest of the spanish cup where I will do my best to do a better result.

now is time to have a break and recovery from all this days of contest.

2010 pwa pozo it,s finished!!I did a good work and finish in the podium the first day with a 3 place together phillip and victor.
conditions were not the best but we still lucky to have what we had.
doble elimination the conditions were bit sketchy so not lucky with that i went from 3 to 4 place against ricardo!!we both sailed incredible but jduges gave to ricardo this time,not so happy about that decision but compettion it,s like that.

now it,s time to get ready to denmark and keep doing good!!

RECOVERY

FRIENDS,

After more than 10 days of winds and much sailing the body start to get sour and need some rest.

For that I go to my good friend Juanma(osteopathy)to get my body and my bones back to his place aswell he relax my muscle.

My body will apreciate it and so I can be 100% in the water again.

hi friends,

Pozo is blowing,good winds and couple of good waves coming in for few weeks now.

The guys are already trainig here for the contest like victor,kauli,brown,ricardo,swift,ross .....

yesterdays we sailed with 4.0 powered but really gusty and extrange conditions but good enough to pull some good jumps.

STILL WAITING

Hi friends,

As you all know Pozo still not confirm yet,we are just a few week of the regural dates of the event.
All the sailor from all the around the world are just waiting for the sign to buy their flights and come to train in the first and most important event of the "tour".Hope they come up with the confirmation soon.

Mean while I still sailing as much as I can to do the best performance in my homespot this summer,already some guys are already here to get ready for the event...

HI FRIENDS,

THIS YEAR ITS BEEN REALLY STRANGE WEATHER,WE SAILED MORE STARBOARDTACK THAN PORTACK THAT IS THE USUAL WINDS.
ALL THE WINTER IT,S BEEN BLOWING FROM THE SOUTH AND WE SAILED A LOT IN THE NORTH AND SOUTH OF THE ISLAND.
ALSO WE SAILED IN GOOD SPOTS LIKE SALINAS WHERE YOU CAN HAVE SO MANY BOTTONS AND HAS DIFFERENTS HOLLOW SESSIONS.

BACK HOME

Hi fellows,

FWC ends so now I got back home,the wind still don,t showing up but meanwhile I don,t waste time,I been suping this morning where was nice and glassy with a fun sizes and not much people in the water just 2 friends wolfy y eduardo and me suping.

I was suping with my new boards the hokua 9,3 and I can say it,s incredible!!also thanks to belways paddles fuerteventura for the paddles that are so flexible and let do this turns easily.
